Earth Broth

 

Broth is an ancient food and medicine that is used by cultures all over the world to soothe and heal ailments as well as prevent dis-ease. Earth Broth was originally created as a simple way to add medicinal plants into bone and vegetable broth that we were cooking for mothers after birth. We quickly realized this blend is for anyone whose body, mind or spirit is going through a healing process or a major life transition or Inner Winter.

Inner Winter Phases are transitional times of your day, month, or life. When you are needing to go inward to rejuvenate and nourish your roots so you can feel renewed and ready to sprout in the springtime. Whether you are healing from grief, illness, surgery, pregnancy, postpartum, or during the bleeding time of your cycle, this medicinal broth will nourish your cells, energize your roots, boost your immune system, and warm your digestive system. This broth can be made with or without bones for a deeply nourishing sipping broth or soup base.

Earth Broth contains all organic ingredients:

Chinese Red dates, nettles, burdock root, astragalus root, reishi mushroom, shitake mushroom, moringa, ginger, dandelion root.

How To Use:

Add 1 cup of the herbal blend into the pot with bones, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, kitchen herbs or any other vegetable ends you have. Cover the ingredients with 4 quarts of filtered water. For stove-top or crock pot cook on medium/high for 6-8 hours. If you are using an instant pot, set to high pressure and cook for 2.5 hours.

Pour through a mesh strainer and use as a base for soup, a sipping broth or store in mason jars and freeze for later use. Enjoy this collagen rich, medicinal broth.

No Bone Broth: Use above recipe without bones or, simply simmer 1 cup of the herbal blend in 4 quarts of filtered water, salt and pepper. Simmer for 1 - 5 hours, depending on how strong you want the broth. Strain and pour over white rice, noodles, or add vegetables as a base to a soup.
