I shout from the rooftops that the only thing babies needs is well resourced and supported parents in the postpartum time…plus a diapering plan. There are very few actual items that I recommend. Many companies make money from families during vulnerable times using predatory marketing strategies, I will not tolerate or be affiliated with any of those. However, there are some wonderful humans creating supportive courses and items that I find myself recommending over and over again and have received great feedback from parents. Below are a few great humans and companies and I am happy to be affiliated with!
Dan Doty (for dads)
Dan is a writer, wilderness guide, men's work leader, and somatic meditation teacher. He has helped to instigate and lead a part of the current global men's movement. Fathers often are forgotten in the mess and magic of the postpartum time. I have had Dan as a guest teacher in my postpartum partner prep course and I am so grateful to have a trusted leader and dad offering support to fathers.

Ceres Chill
The Milkstache Luxe Freezing System is great to use for storing milk in the freezer. It is not plastic, but made with silicon and stainless steel. For many of the breastfeeding moms I work with, they will passively catch milk to freeze that would otherwise go wasted into the sheets! Or maybe you want to freeze a small amount of milk to unthaw rather than with using an entire milk bag. This silicon freezer tray is a great option! For moms pumping at work, they also have stainless steel bottles you can pump right into that will keep the milk cold.
