ISA

Location: Santa Barbara, Carpinteria

Isa joined the Earth Milk Moon team in the Fall of 2022 and has since helped guide birthing persons and families during the postpartum period alongside Simone, Alondra and Krista. She is a labor and delivery Registered Nurse with training in lactation and infant feeding. Isa also has a degree in Ethnic Studies with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. Becoming a birthworker was a blend in bringing together her passion for women's health, postpartum wellness and addressing the health disparities that exist in communities of color. While most of her experience has been in the hospital setting, she was drawn to supporting her community through holding space for processing, healing and nourishing postpartum families as a more wholesome means of advocacy.

Isa does this work not only to help the birthing person bond with their baby, but also to help set the tone for life as a parent moving forward. She does this for the other womxn, family, children and friends who may be watching, learning and healing from seeing you protecting your sacred space, leaning into rest and prioritizing your wellbeing.
